The National Association for Family, School, and Community Engagement (NAFSCE) recently launched the Family Engagement Core Competencies for Family-Facing Professionals, after three years of research into what family-facing professionals know, do, and stand for, to engage families equitably and meaningfully. The Competencies are grouped into four main domains representing what family-facing professionals do: reflect, connect, collaborate, and lead. The purpose of the Family Engagement Core Competencies is to create a nationally agreed-upon and unifying set of professional competencies for the family engagement field.
Join us for an interactive discussion with the author to learn about the Core Competencies, what these skills look like in practice, and how they apply in your setting.
